Today I bought "near organic eggs".
Eventually I managed to get my hands on an Indian and ask him.. ."what do you mean, "near""? It's either an egg, or not an egg, either organic or not organic... He gave me this SciFi explanation about how the hen doesn't produce the egg, but it's produced in an artificial way (or at least this is what I understood from his explanation), so the egg is "near organic". But... but...
He moved then to another example: mangoes - some are real mangoes, some are near mangoes. How can something be near mango? Near mango means almost mango... How can something be almost mango? "Well, it's less than mango", he said! "How can it be less than mango?" A mango is either a mango or a non-mango, meaning it can be anything else but a mango. Like water can't be almost water.
Then I had the inspiration to ask where I can buy some chicken. So he said... "hmm... some real chicken you want?" "What do you mean, real chicken? I can have either real chicken or near/almost chicken? What the hell is almost chicken? A sparrow? An egg is almost chicken? What?"
Apparently I don't get it. But if you do, please, please explain!
